By late 1990 the word was out that Bill & Ted were slated for a sequel.  With a second movie in pre-production and an animated series on CBS, it occurred to me that the time might be right to launch a fan club for the duo.  I had previously done fan clubs for the music group Men At Work and the television series Perfect Strangers, and with these previous ventures I started with just a newsletter which I sent out for free to interested fans.  I put together just such a newsletter for Bill & Ted and started sending them to anyone who wanted one.  Little did I know that it was just the beginning of a very interesting fan club venture!  (Note: the date on the cover which reads January 1990 was wrong . . . it was indeed 1991 and I fell into the trap of forgetting to change the year, something I still fall victim to every January!)
