Kitten, even though this isn't really the time or place for this kind of serious conversation I'm going to leave your message posted for a time in case someone in a similar situation might be able to offer advice or help to you. I unfortunately don't have any counseling experience and have never been through this myself, so I don't feel qualified to try to make suggestions except to say that you might want to find a local teen counseling group in your area which meets or offers online or telephone forums in which to discuss issues like this. It sounds like you really need to talk to someone who's been through this so you can cope better with this very very difficult situation.

I will say this much . . . none of this is your fault and unfortunately none of it is really within your control. I know you want so much to make things better, but your parents are making choices for themselves, right or wrong. Not that you should ever stop hoping they might be happier at some point, but that is really not within your power to change. You need to take care of yourself and most importantly NOT feel guilty or responsible for the things your parents do. I know you want for everything to be better, that the situation were different, that everyone would just get along. This is where I really think talking to someone who has been through similar problems would be able to help you by showing you can get through it.

Does anyone know of any good online teen discussion groups where Kitten could go to talk about these problems? Thanks!
