Updated Biography

Prior to Excellent Adventure, J. Patrick McNamara made appearances the films Close Encounters of the Third Kind, The Fury, 1941, Blow Out, Some Kind of Wonderful and Phantasm II.  He appeared in the television series Barnaby Jones, Dallas, Hart to Hart, Hill Street Blues, The A-Team and Roseanne.

Bogus Journey was J. Patrick's last known film role, but he has appeared on television in episodes of Veronica Clare and Orleans.

Also a veteran of the stage, J. Patrick has taught acting classes at the Southern Repertory Theatre in New Orleans, Louisiana.  In 2007, he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama for his role in The Last Madam in the Big Easy Entertainment Awards.

J. Patrick's recent appearances have been in the films Never Back Down 2: The Beatdown and Mardi Gras: Spring Break.  He is also giving acting lessons via a DVD entitled The Craft of Acting.
