Updated Biography
Not to be confused with the character Duncan MacLeod (of Highlander
fame), this is a long-standing character actor with a good amount of credits to
his name. Starting in television in the late 1950's, he appeared on such
television shows as M Squad, 77 Sunset Strip, The Munsters, Branded, The
F.B.I., Starsky and Hutch, Father Murphy, Simon & Simon, Matt Houston
and Moonlighting.
On the big screen, Duncan McLeod had roles in Beyond the
Valley of the Dolls, The Stepmother, Goodbye Norma Jean and The Van.
His last known roles were in 2001 . . . on television in a pilot
for a show called Thieves and another made-for-TV movie titled The
Crossing.
In July 2011
we heard from fellow B&T actor Jim Cody Williams that he
learned through the Screen Actors Guild that Duncan McLeod sadly
passed away on November 25, 2005.
Jim had
these very kind words to say about Duncan: "Bill and
Ted's was my first film job, and I was lucky enough to have the
dressing room next to Duncan's. He was very kind and helpful
to me on my rookie job -- the old west scenes were the very first
thing shot on the entire film -- so things moved slowly as do on
the first days of any film job. Duncan filled the time with
memorable stories from his time in Hollywood and New York. A
great story teller, and a truly, a gentleman actor."
