Actually, the purists' definition of a cult film is a movie which didn't do well in its initial release but has since garnered a cult following, originally via revival theaters and nowadays via cable, video and DVD. Excellent Adventure was commercially a much more successful film than anyone ever guessed it would be, and while Bogus Journey was not as commercially successful as was hoped it was still not unsuccessful, so that means neither movie actually fits the true definition of a "cult" movie. *However*, Bill and Ted definitely has a dedicated fan base very much like that of many cult films, so it does indeed have "cult" feel about it (plus there were lots of oddball tie-ins which were *not* initially very successful, the comic books, TV shows, etc., so those are cultish). BTW, Mr. St. Hubbins, I'm a big fan of that most excellent cult movie *you* appeared in, dude! Stonehenge was most outstanding . . . did you know the original model was really that small??? ; ) Party on!!!!
