I'm confused . . . you've actually seen the missing end footage for both movies? There's the rat clip in the trailer, yeah, but I'm not aware of footage of any other missing scenes out there anywhere. Personally I've always felt Bogus Journey would have been better if they'd left the original cut alone . . . it would have had much more of a point (tying in the fears and all). The changes to Excellent Adventure were better, definitely, although the prom scene would have been nice.
