If they were 21 in Bogus Journey, which is pretty much confirmed via interviews with Alex and Keanu, and the date on the first movie is 1988 (check the beginning when they come out of the garage) and the date of the second is 1991, then that would make them 18 in the first movie. Hope that helps! I used to think they were younger, as it was never clear if they were *graduating* in EA, so I think there's a little leeway there for some fanfic fudging. ;)
