Alex Winter says B&T 3 is IN THE WORKS!!!!

AintItCoolNews.com posted a story yesterday (10-23-01) that qouted Alex Winter as not only saying he's been involved in the preproduction work for all of the Universal shows, but also says he is pursueing a "third and final" Bill and Ted film!!!

He actually attempted to get the rights himself to do the film, but they basically got spread every which way when Orion shut down. But now that MGM owns the entire Orion library (and is rereleasing EA and BJ on VHS and DVD) there is a decent chance of #3! Well, more of a "60%" chance, but still, thats the best we've heard yet!

Winter suggested some sort of premise that would involve bill and ted being millionare 40 year olds and would possibly involve ted being kidnaped in time, in order to keep keanu's screen time down beacuase he's so busy now. Also, 2004 is the earliest it could come out due to keanu's commitent(s) to The Matrix sequels.

Also, darkhorizons.xom featured a pretty good interview with Winter a few weeks back. Highlights? Alex is trying to get Freaked on DVD and is working on a new movie that he deems as more commercical and comedic than Fever.
