I'm not aware of any specific philosophy which Ed and Chris used as inspiration when writing Bill and Ted, but a lot of fans really take the movie's message and morals to heart. Seriously, how much more simple and true can one get than Be Excellent To Each Other and Party On, Dude? It says it all! And living your life by those words is a most excellent way to be. :) Party On!
