It boggles the mind, doesn't it? Needless to say, I don't know where they sold most of this stuff, but it certainly wasn't where I was living at the time! I think Linda was more fortunate in the collecting department as she was living in Hollywood.
Actually, I suspect most the wide range of goods they were originally planning to sell to tie-in with Bogus Journey never got very widely distributed due to the fact that the movie - quite honestly - tanked at the box office. There was a similar situation when Alex was working on Freeked which was mistaken for a kid's movie and caught the eye of toy manufacturers. When they found out what it was rated 'R' and definitely not kiddy-fare, most ran screaming... though there actually was a set of figurines sold at Suncoast stores for a time.
Good point about the soundtracks, tapes, and books. I didn't know the BJ novelization came out with two different covers. Interesting.
