What Does It All Mean? (a Socratic Musing)

Bill and Ted.
Champions of Good and righteousness. They have taught us by their actions and their wisdom how to lead active, fulfilling lives. Lets look at what their credos represent.
"Be excellent to each other"
Here they exemplify the Golden Rule, that of loving one another, and doing unto others as you would have them do unto you. You'll find this to be true if you examine the basic precepts of any major world religion. What a place this world would be if everyone followed this advice.
But everyone doesn't keep to Bill and Ted's words of wisdom. (I'm talking to YOU, DeNomolos.)
Therein lies the second pearl of wisdom. "Party on, dude". Innocent and carefree sounding, perhaps, but this veneer hides deeper truth. The Great Ones are urging us to keep the faith, to never give up, to party on. Life to the true Stallyn is a party, and while parties require some amount of work to prepare, maintain, and clean up after, it is primarily meant to be enjoyed to the fullest. Don't let Colonel Oats make you do infinity push-ups... (even if he says you can do them girly style, Linda Kay) Don't be scared of a huge Easter Bunny or kissing your Grandma... and above all, NEVER go father than Best of Seven when you play Death at board games. (Enough is enough. Lose with some dignity, dude.)
This is my first of probably many posts, and I look forward to responding many more.
"Ted, stand up."
"Stand up?"
"Yes, son, stand up."
(The look on Ted's face when he stands in Mr. Ryan's class cracks me up to this day. Check it out again...)
Station.
