A geography lesson . . . San Dimas is a small (well, not so small any more, I daresay, urban sprawl is everywhere out here!) city to the east of Los Angeles. It's got a very western look about it . . . I absolutely adore it! When I ran the fan club way back when I decided we just had to have a P.O. Box in San Dimas, even though it was an hour's drive out of the city (longer with the traffic!) so I used to make that trek every week to get the mail but it was so nice! And right across the street from the post office was none other than . . . a Circle K! :) The water slides are also there, just where the 10 and 210 freeways meet (if you're trying to find San Dimas on the map, that's a good way to locate it!). The waterslides are called Raging Waters and have been there for a long time. Neither movie was actually filmed in San Dimas, however, EA was filmed in Arizona and BJ was filmed mostly on a soundstage but some locations shots were done north of Los Angeles. Here's an interesting thing about San Dimas . . . when you first drive into the town on the 210 you see a BIG sign for a kind of strip mall done in Western style and it says . . . Sam Dimas STATION! I always assumed this is where Ed and Chris got the idea to use the word Station for Stations! Too much of a coincidence, huh? And that, my friends, is more information about San Dimas than you ever needed to know! But in case you'd like to know more, check out the official San Dimas website linked below. Party On!
