Babes, any time ANY guy or any person for that matter (particularly one who's older than you) makes you nervous in *any* way in any public place, whether it's a look or just an odd feeling you have in your gut, get away from them and find someone you trust . . . a friend, parent, store clerk, whomever, and stick close to them. Always always *always* listen to that little voice inside you that tells you when something is bad or wrong! You don't need to make a federal case out of it if he doesn't act, but the important thing is to not give a stranger the *opportunity* to act. Better to be cautious and safe than just disregard your instincts and endanger yourself. Manda, you did absolutely positively the RIGHT thing and I'm proud of you!! Older guys just should *not* be checking out younger girls! The CD will be there for some time, your safety can never be compromised. (In that kind of situation, you should also keep tabs on where the guy is afterwards . . . if he follows you out of the store be very certain he doesn't continue to follow you around . . . if he does, find someone of authority immediately!) And if someone dares to try to do something (touch you or get you to go somewhere else with them) don't hesitate to tell a security guard or someone in charge! Never be afraid to look foolish by not trusting someone . . . again better to be safe than sorry, and that little voice inside you is your best protection! I can't say it enough, always listen to your instincts no matter how silly they might seem! Your good sense knows when something's not right! It worries me more that your friend Pam wasn't concerned! You can never be too careful. Now party on! :)
