Yeah River collasped outside of the Viper Room about ten years ago.
What always completely made me sick was ALL of the news and entertainment shows played and RE-PLAYED, River's brother, Joaquin's 911 call. Which had an OBVIOUSLY distraught and emotionally crazed young Joaquin screaming for someone to come and help his brother who was still alive at that point but unconscious and going through some kind of seizure. It just seemed too much to hear you know? Tell me that River Phoenix passed away, show us photos of the scene but,in my opinion, hearing a (then)underage younger brother frantically scream for someone to come and save his brother's life is just NOT news-it's completely exploitive.
Hold on- let me get down off my soap box now...

The Viper Room is such a popular spot in Hollywood and Keanu has been going there and playing there (i.e.Dogstar,becky) for years since River's drug overdose.
