Hello again my excellent friends!

Kitten in answer to your query, Yes(albeit very briefly). Here's the story:

I used to live in Hollywood, Ca... prior to moving there that year('91),I desperately was trying to see if any of my L.A. contacts knew if they needed extras or anything as I was a huge fan of the original, I was told sadly that the film had wrapped, the sequel's original title was 'Bill & Ted Go To Hell'.

Well one sunny day I was strolling along Hollywood Boulevard passing by Mann's Chinese Theatre and I was approached by some dude who stated 'you'll do, and almost with out a beat he asked 'would you like to be in the new Bill & Ted film?'(they had previewed the film but the ending was not to the audience's satifiaction so they were doing re-shoots)I have witnessed many things in my time, but nothing as bodacious as this!

I showed up(along with some other extras) on the date given... we were told prior it was like a rock n' roll event and to dress appropriately. I as I have done film work prior(behind and in front of the camera)and I roam around trying to meet as many creative people possible when I came face to face with: Bill & Ted's savory clothes! They were on suited on some mannequins outside the sound stage where we were to film.

There were many steps and benches, it was most tranquil inside the set. This was the auditorium shoot for the 'Battle of the Bands'.

Filmmaking is always a hurry up and wait process they had promised some breakfast, but never delievered(other extras started picking at the craft service tables reserved for the crew)but I didn't care as I was just soaking the sights all in.

When they did finally get to filming it was all audience reaction shots(these are all shot with just the audience going through the motions of cheering, but not saying a peep) this went on for awhile then lunch(chicken was served in a seperate set with many tables and seats for the extras), I ate quickly and sauntered onto the main stage's set early before anyone else. I talked to as many P.A's, best boys, grips as were around... I also glanced at the storyboard which still had the original title on the sides kinda like comic book horror type face for the words 'Go To Hell!'

Tha stage itself was littered with amps, some of which were the band Primus', some rentals but some also were plastered with WYLD STALLYNS stickers(I tried to get one of these, they were blue background with orange lettering, I was most non-triumphant) this is where I went over the Judge's table(which was on the left side when you were on the stage over-looking the seats) thsi is where I found one of the Judge's badges which I immediately scooped up as reminder of most outstanding occasion.

I did not return to the back seats(where we also shot the cameras were set up for their 'zapped' segment with this time I decided to sneak up front,it was at this time that Alex and Keanu walked out onto the set with a round of wild applause. I was told that Alex and Keanu just kick back in their trailer drinking margueritas and beer with occasional herb. This was verified when I heard Alex after he walked out on stage and leaned into Keanu and said 'Dude, you totally smell like beer!'I was laughing too hard, they very much seem like their characters.

I chatted more with the actor who played Denomolos(his name is an anagram of 'Bill & Ted' screen writer Ed Solomon's name) because I enjoyed his menacing performance in 'Lethal Weapon 2'. I was sat next to him on the right side of the phone booth wearing a black Harley Davidson shirt with a flame engulfed rising phoenix. He had to re-shoot the futuristic 'pop gun' scene many times while he cursed the troublesome prop which the techs kept handing back to him.

I was later put on the 'chosen list' to shoot for 9 days(the 'sand bag' scene is one of my closeup shots that the assistant director wanted me in)we had to wear the same clothes for the rest of the shoot.

It was a most excellent adventure! I included a shot of the Judge's badge from the set a shot of to include for this post...

Be Excellent to each other and Party On Dudes!
