Would you believe the pilot episode for the ill-fated B&T television series started with Rufus dressed as a preist, presiding over the "Church of Bill and Ted"?! (I need to do some screen shots of that!) Personally, I thought it was one of the better jokes they came up with, but the censors didn't agree and the episode was never aired.

In 'real life', you could argue that the basis for most , if not all popular religions and philosophies actually could be boiled down to "be excellent to each other". Love thy neighbor, etc.
