Updated Biography
The Tubes have etched a unique place in the history of rock
music . . . Fee Waybill was formerly the San Francisco group's roadie until 1972
when he was recruited to be the band's front man and singer. Garnering a
cult following, The Tubes became prominent in the 80's with their wildly
imaginative videos like She's a Beauty and their surreal live
shows. The group disbanded in the late 80's but regrouped in 1993 and are
still performing to this day.
