Updated Biography
Who would have guessed that the utterance of the phrase " .
. . let them eat fast food" would lead to such an amazing and versatile
career? But indeed Marjean Holden's role in Excellent Adventure was
the first notable step in what has proved to be a very impressive career (it
should be noted that she also worked as a production assistant on
the movie!)
Growing up in Vail, Colorado, Marjean developed a love of acting
and sports simultaneously. Her athleticism led to a scholarship to
Northern Arizona University which most likely put her in the right place at the
right time to appear as the student speaking about Marie Antionette's possible
take on the modern world in Excellent Adventure. From there she
moved to Los Angeles and has pursued her acting career very successfully since.
One asset to her career is her athletic skills; boxing, weight
training and Kung Fu are all part of her workout regimen. Her abilities in
these areas allow her to do many of her own stunts.
Film appearances for Marjean include roles in Stop! Or My Mom
Will Shoot, Nemesis, Lost World: Jurassic Park, Mortal Kombat: Annihilation,
Vampires, Code Red, Ghosts of Mars and George of the Jungle II.
She performed stunts in Speed II: Cruise Control and Blade as well
as other films.
On television, Marjean has appeared in such notable series as A
Different World, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Wings, Tales From the Crypt,
Hangin' With Mr. Cooper, JAG, Suddenly Susan, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine,
Pacific Blue, The Steve Harvey Show and La Femme Nikita. She
also garnered a loyal fan base when she played the role of Arina in the TV
series BeastMaster. In 2005, Marjean appeared in the Bruce Willis' film Hostage.
She also appeared on an episode of ER in 2009 and is slated
to appear in a film called Bring Me the Head of Lance Henriksen
in 2012.
Marjean is
currently creating seminars as the first female trainer for Peak
Potentials Training.
